Our Mission at Studio Vinci

Studio Vinci is a front-end ideas lab for the nuclear workforce, where sketches, stories, and early prototypes explore how people learn, train, and work in advanced energy. It focuses on nuclear education and simulation-informed storytelling, turning complex reactor and workforce concepts into clear, visual experiences for students, operators, decision-makers, and the public.

The studio functions as an independent, exploratory space that sits alongside—but outside of—traditional public-sector and academic structures, keeping close ties to utilities, vendors, educators, and communities. This distance allows Studio Vinci to experiment, iterate, and fail fast on concepts before they are handed off to institutions that need stability, documentation, and scale.

Projects emphasize early-stage prototyping, narrative design, and educational media that can later be adopted and expanded by training programs, colleges, vendors, labs, and workforce initiatives. A single sketch, storyboard, or mock simulator screen might evolve into a full curriculum module, a public outreach exhibit, or a new way to talk about jobs in advanced nuclear.

The mission of Studio Vinci is to shape the stories, mental models, and design patterns that a modern nuclear workforce will grow up with. By blending deep domain experience in nuclear operations with design thinking and a da Vinci–inspired notebook aesthetic, the studio aims to make advanced technologies feel understandable, human, and worth joining as a career.

Studio Vinci exists to ask “what if?” on the front end of nuclear workforce development—designing the ideas, visuals, and learning experiences today that tomorrow’s nuclear workforce will simply take for granted.
